How do I register to search the programme catalogue online?
Answer
ITV STUDIOS Global Entertainment website users are restricted to authorised programme buyers. If you wish to access the online catalogue, please go to the “registration” page that is accessed via the “Register now” link in the Sign In section on the homepage.
Once you have submitted your registration form, your contact details will be verified with the relevant Sales Executive. If you are a ITV STUDIOS Global Entertainment client, you will be authorised to access the programme catalogue and notified by email confirming your “username” and “password”. When you log in for the first time, you will see the name of your assigned Sales Executive who will be your main point of contact. Please NOTE – the registration process may take a short time, but you will be informed by email in due course.

How do I remember my login and password?
Answer
After you have received your login and password by email, if you check the "Remember me" box, a cookie is set on you computer's hard drive. This allows the ITV STUDIOS Global Entertainment website to remember information about you when you log on next time. Many web sites use cookies to make logging on easier for their users. Cookies are safe to accept and the ITV Global Entertainment Ltd website cannot see any other information on your hard drive. Please see your in-house IT team if you have any problems regarding cookies.

Who is my contact?

"My contact" is the ITV STUDIOS Global Entertainment Sales Executive who has been assigned to your account. If you are a current buyer/client of ITV programmes this person will be your existing contact. If you are a new account to ITV STUDIOS Global Entertainment the Sales Executive will be assigned on a territory basis once you have been given approval to access the website. Once you have been sent a Username and Password to access the website and you have logged in, your “My contact” Sales Executive details can be seen on the homepage and also via the “My contact” button that appears on the navigation panel at the top of the page.

The ITV STUDIOS Global Entertainment website is designed to help programme buyers find suitable programmes for their use from our catalogue. The use of and registration to this website is free, however it is restricted to authorised programme buyers only.

The only information which we store is your registration information, which is used to identify you to the ITV STUDIOS Global Entertainment Server. For further information, please refer to the legal page on the site.

ITV STUDIOS Global Entertainment will not sell or pass any of your information on to third parties. We use the registration information to enable us to offer a better standard of service suited to your individual requirements.

Your first point of contact will always be your Sales Executive – your Sales Executive’s contact details can be found once you have logged into the site, either listed under your “Programme Tools” or from the “My Contact” button which can be found on the navigation at the top of the homepage.

What do I do if I have forgotten my password?

If you have forgotten your password, simply click on the "Forgot Password?" link from the Sign In section on the homepage, this will open up an email text box which will allow you to add your email and then click on the "Password reminder" button.
Your password will then be sent to the email you specified.

How do I change or update my details?
Answer
When you are logged into the website, from the top navigation bar select “My Details” - this page will contain your current information. To update your details type over the incorrect information, once all your details are correct simply click on the “Update” button to save your changes.

Searching the Catalogue

How do I search the programme catalogue?
Answer
Once you have registered with us you can search the programme catalogue - there are two methods of searching:
The first method is to use the "Search Catalogue" option from the homepage, typing in a key word here will search on “Programme Title, Synopsis and Cast & Credits” at programme level. Please NOTE – the search is not case sensitive and does not work with special characters – what you add is what the search will look for. Therefore, typing the history of will find every occurrence of the history of. If you are having difficulty finding a programme or selection, please check that you are spelling correctly or limit what you type.

What is advanced search?
Answer
For a more detailed search, click on the "Advanced Search" link that can be found under the Search Catalogue option. Once in the Advanced Search you will be presented with a selection of options - you will see the Keyword search at the top of the page, and underneath various tick boxes to enable you to refine your search. Here you can select anything from programmes launched at ‘MIPCOM 2006’ to programmes that are available in ‘High Definition’ - please take the time to look at all the options before searching.
Please NOTE - "Advanced Search" will search on both the Series and Episode level of a programme detail, this is helpful when looking to find specific information on bigger series, such as Cracker and Prime Suspect.

Helpful tips when using advanced search.

If you want to search on ‘all programmes’ launched at MIPCOM 2006, simply tick this box, ensure that you have NOT added a keyword, and click on “Search”. Similarly, If you want to search on ‘all programmes’ that are available in ‘High Definition’, simply tick this box, ensure that you have NOT added a keyword, and click on “Search”. A list of the relevant programmes will then be displayed.
Within ‘Advanced Search’ you can use the “catalogue, genre and sub-genre” drop-down options to refine your search. To do this, first click on the “catalogue” drop-down menu and choose an option – e.g. Drama. Next, from the “genre” drop-down menu choose a genre – e.g. Horror. And finally, from the “sub-genre” drop-down menu choose a sub-genre – e.g. Cult. Click on the Search button for the results – these options will enable you to be more specific about what you are searching for.

Is using the "search catalogue" option case-sensitive?
Answer
The "Search Catalogue" option is not case-sensitive, so whether you type Royal, royal, or ROYAL, you will receive the same search results.

What does "drop-down box" mean?
Answer
Drop-down boxes are a list of choices within the category selected. Clicking on the arrow at the end of the drop-down box will display a number of choices which you can select from to improve your final search results.

How do I view the series and episodes of a programme?
Answer
After carrying out a "Search" or after browsing the programme catalogue via the navigation options, you can expand each of the programmes to view 'series' and 'episode' level detail. Simply click on the "programme title” or the “programme image” to see this information, along with production company information, and further details of awards, cast and crew, etc., where available.
This 'programme details' page will also allow you to watch Screeners or Promo Clips where available, Print the Programme, Save as a PDF, Send to a Friend, Add to your Programme Basket, and Add to your Programme List, etc.
Post-Sales Publicity

Where can I find post-sales publicity material associated with programmes?
Answer
Where available, you can download Publicity material such as; Images, Brochures, Press Packs, Synopsis, Scripts, Credits, Character Lists, Music Cue Sheets, Running Order, Promotion Guidelines, Species Lists (animals), etc. These are accessible at programme detail level - however, this facility is only available to approved users who have been supplied with their username and password.
When you have performed a search and have found the programme you are looking for, and have selected the programmes by clicking on the title or image, if there is publicity available you will see a “Publicity” tab at the top of the page. Click on this tab and you will see the Publicity section and all downloadable assets associated with the programme.
You will have the opportunity to choose a “Series” if applicable at the top that will take you to the relevant area of the page, otherwise, all downloadable publicity will be listed appear as named hyperlinks.

How can I download post-sales publicity paperwork?
Answer
To download publicity paperwork etc: E.g. “Script: Episode 01”.
Simply click on the relevant hyperlink and the publicity item will download to your computer, allowing you to view it on screen. If you wish to save the publicity, you will need to use the File menu option and choose Save As, saving to your computer and a chosen destination.

How can I download post-sales publicity high-resolution images?
Answer
To download high-resolution publicity images: E.g. “Series 2: 10 images".
Simply click on the hyperlink to view those images available. Next you will see the page of images, if there are more than 8 available, you will see page navigation at the top and bottom of the section to allow you to see more images on the pages listed. To download an image, simply click on the "Download" button, wait for the image to open fully in the new browser window, then choose File, Save As and save to your chosen destination. Please note that images are captioned using Adobe PhotoShop, here you will be able to find out more information about the image.
Screening Programmes and Promos

How do I screen a programme or view a promo clip?
Answer
Once you have found the programme you are looking for and are in the “main programme details” view, if a programme screener or promo clip is available to view online, you will see a “Online Screener” tab at the top of the programme detail, or you will also see a media player in the programme page if a promo is available to be viewed. Full length Screeners can be viewed on the "Online Screener" page, and promos can be viewed in the main programme details page.
You can play full-length screeners or promo clips by using the imbedded media player and the controls displayed. Please NOTE – you may need to accept a software security prompt to allow the media to play on your computer.

How do I watch a full-length screener or promo clip in “full screen”?
Answer
If you want to view the screener or promo clip in full-screen mode, simply click on the “full screen” button on the imbedded media player control panel. This will launch a full screen version of the screener or promo clip that will play automatically. Please NOTE – the media may take a short time to load before playing - you may also need to accept a software security prompt to allow the media to play on your computer.
Whilst the screener or promo clip launches in full-screen mode, you will be notified of the players controls - please use the SPACEBAR on your keyboard to Pause and Play the screener, and the ESCAPE key to exit. Alternatively, the promo clip will play in Windows Media Player which will have controls built into the interface.

How can I view multiple full-length screeners?
Answer
Where available, programmes may have a number of full-length screeners that can be viewed online. By clicking on the “Online Screener” tab when in a programme detail, you will be able to play the full-length programme screener and promo clips in exactly the same way as before. Here listed under the imbedded media player, there may be a selection of full-length screeners or promo clips to choose from – simply click on the one you want to view and then click on the media players play button.
Please NOTE – whichever area you choose to screen the programme, once you have started watching the programme in the imbedded media player and then decide that you want to watch in full screen mode, clicking on the “full screen” button will play the programme from the start, and NOT from the point you were up to.

What if I am having problems playing full-length screeners or promo clips?
Answer
If you are having problems playing the full-length screeners in the media player or in full screen mode, you may need to download some additional software updates.

My Screener Basket

How do I keep a list of programme screeners that I want to request?
Answer
You can select programmes in which you are interested wherever you see, an "Add to screener basket" button - this button is displayed at the bottom of a programme detail. By pressing this button the selected programme will be stored in your “My Screener Basket” which can be seen in your “Programme Tools” section.
Your “My Screener Basket” will display all the programmes you have chosen whilst browsing the website. Only 5 programmes will be listed in the overview section, but to view and edit the complete list of programmes, click on the “Edit Basket” button at the bottom of the section.

How do I request my screeners?
Answer
To request your screeners, first click on the “Edit Basket” button at the bottom of the “My Screener Basket” section, you will then see the complete list of screeners you have chosen. If you want to remove a programme from your list, simply click on the “Remove” button at the bottom of the programme. When you remove a programme, you will see a notification message at the top of the basket section that the title has been removed.
When you are happy with your list of screener requests, simply click on the “Order Now” button. This will take you to the “Order Screener Basket Form”, here you will see your contact details that are listed in your “My Details” section – however, if you want the Screeners sent to a different postal address, you will need to update the relevant fields before you submit the form. If you want these new contact details to update your existing contacts details, simply click on the “Update Details” button. Next you will need to choose a Screener format – either PAL or NTSC – depending upon your region.
Finally, click on the “Send Email” button at the bottom of the form section, an email will be sent to your Sales Executive who will then arrange dispatch. Once you have sent the Screener Request, your basket will be empty and you can return to browsing.

How can I select a format for my VHS or DVD screeners?

There is a drop-down box of formats available on the “Order Screener Basket Form” in “My Screener Basket”. Choose as appropriate, depending on your country and region.
My Programme List

What is my programme list?
Answer
Your "My Programme List" is used to store programmes of interest to you which can be choosen from a programme displayed in search results, after browsing, or from the specific programme details page using the "Add to programme list" button. Your folder is personal to your account and can only be viewed by you and your Sales Executive.

How do I view the complete list of programmes in my programme list?
Answer
Your “My programme list” is always displayed as an overview on the right hand side of the website underneath your Sales Executive contact details. Please NOTE – this overview will only display 5 programmes in alphabetical order. To view all of the programmes you have selected, either click on “Edit this list” link that appears at the bottom of you’re “My programme list”, or alternatively use the link that appears in navigation panel at the top of the page.

What can I do with the programmes listed in my programme list?
Answer
Your “My Programme List” enables you to send a collection of programmes to your Sales Executive, to a colleague, or to a friend – this section will assist you in requesting more information on programming. At the top of the section you will see the “Email” button, this will allow you to email the programmes listed to your Sales Executive. If you have added a number of programmes by mistake, simply click on the “Remove” button at the bottom of each programme, which will remove them from your list.

How do I send my programme list?
Answer
When you are in the main programme list view and to send your programme list selection, simply click on the “Email” button. This will take you to the “Send my programme list” page where you can add the recipient’s details and any message you wish to include. If you want to keep a record of programme lists you have sent, you must ensure that you tick the box “Send me a copy of this email”. You can also remove a programme from the list in this page by simply clicking on the “Remove” button under the relevant programme. Finally click on “Send Email”.
